Lit Group Takes the Music Industry by Storm with Lit Music Record Label!

Lit Group, a dynamic record label based in Pietermaritzburg (PMB), South Africa, is proud to introduce its talented roster of artists. Founded by Kwanele Maphalala, Lit Group is committed to discovering, developing, and promoting exceptional artists who are passionate about creating music that inspires and uplifts. 

Kwanele Maphalala. 

Founder, CEO & Managing Director. 

Kwanele Maphalala Is a Founder and CEO of multiple LIT group businesses including LIT Forex Investors, LIT Barbershop & Beauty Salon and LIT Music Record Label. Kwanele holds a Master’s Degree in Science from UKZN and started his career as a scientist working for the South African Sugarcane Research Institute and later worked at Mondi research development department as a Biotechnology specialist for over 5 years. 

The experience and leadership skills acquired in the cooperate world has influenced Kwanele’s current leadership style to lead to inspire which he is currently implementing and translating to music. He believes that the secret in making it in any business is when you master and understand the art of starting with why. 

Meet the Artists: 

1. Xoli M: 

Xoli M is a gifted Singer, Songwriter. 

Real name Xolile Mazibuko is a Singer and Songwriter, born in KZN Newcastle and grew up in Pretoria, Soshanguve. She first appeared on the music scene in the year 2010, when she collaborated with the duo Black Motion on a then top of the charts hit track "Set me free" which debuted her career and immediately placed her amongst the best vocalists in South Africa. 

2. Theola: 

Theola is a talented Singer and Songwriter. 

Theola Troynese Triegaardt (born in 2005) known by most as Theola , a singer and song- writer born and raised in Eersterus Pretoria, Gauteng. 

She started singing from the age of 5 years early morning and late nights with her father listening to ABBA. She comes from a musical family background, however her father played the biggest role in crafting her talent to this day. She had her first competition at the age of 10 at a talent show at school in 2014, She was in grade 4. She joined the school choir in primary at Laerskool Silverton from 2014-2017, and also used to sing at church choir. 

3. J.Ktrenz: 

J.Ktrenz is a multi-talented Artist, Producer. 

Junior Kudzai Gwazemba known by most as J.Ktrenz , born in SA with a Zimbabwean parent and SA parent, musician raised in Soweto South Africa. His smooth delivery and witty voice give his music an upbeat vibe and conscious feel. At an early age, JKtranz had a deep love and passion for music. Growing up, he was heavily inspired by the likes of Drake, Chris Brown, Wizkid, Asake and Mariah Carey. 

He transitioned from a fanatic listener to an musician and has blazed a trail for his music career ever since. As he grew up he loving making beats after got inspired by the likes of Dr Dre and Kanye West he taught himself to make all type of beats from International genres to African genres including Amapaino until early 2024 he was told by his friends who does listen to him singing when he record them to get more involved in singing.
